A Band of Bees - Free the Bees

If you still can't get over the fact that Michael Jackson hasn't given up the Beatles catalog from his grubby little hands, how about something mighty close? A Band of Bees has a sound so ridiculously close to the Abbey-Road era Fab Four, you might want to give up and just go and listen to the Beatles. Ah, but you can't go do that in Rhapsody, can you?

This British band has all the self-referential attitude a Brit Rock band should, as attested to by the fact that this album was recorded in the very same Abbey Road studio where the Beatles once laid down those classic tracks. Like the 'vintage' sound? Ready for a flashback? Like they always say, everything old is new again.

Really? You think the Beatles? There are definitely some hallmarks (ESPECIALLY the harmonies), but I don't really hear the Liverpool Lads for the most part....I think it sounds more like, say, the Moody Blues, circa 1969, or some of the Nuggets bands...but it's definitely great! I'm downloading it from iTunes as we speak!

Here's the fabously cheesy and fun video for Can of Bees' "Chicken Payback", which employs the joys of Dance Dance Revolution:
